Delayed track
6hrs of extra stay in an air-conditioned environment at zero cost. Some would consider that as a good deal, but not when your train is stationery for that long at one spot. It nerve-wrecking and torturous.
At the same time its a golden opportunity for the caterers who increase their frequency at such times in the coaches, luring one to kill time with food.
Wonder what other commodity could sell at such times…
Cards, ciggarttes, sleeping pills, prosac, guns, yoga lessons, books, nano?
Blowin’ in the wind

Losen the control when you need it to go farther.
Never stretch it, when falling.
Life of life and kite-flying.
From being the one to hold the charkhi*, almost a couple of decades back, I have now graduated to the level of cutting my finger with manjaa*.
When the sky turns almost dark, holding on to that thread which you can’t spot the end to… gives you a feeling of holding on to some kind of a divine umbilical cord connecting you to the supreme being.
And pulling the kite back at such times sets inside the shoes of Dushasana and the kite in the role of Draupadi. The “saddi*”-haran never seems to end.
Today was my first lesson given by the Godfather. Plan to become a pro by tomorrow :)
* - Brand-new kite-flying vocab I acquired today.

My laptop’s keyboard is fixed! Yeehaw!
And for the nth time I promise to be more regular here!
P.S. Happy New Year!
