How not to name your product - 1
So candy-like… aren’t they?
Had to read the entire pack twice to confirm I wasn’t hallucinating.

The Confusing Shivratri’s Filmy Theme Song
“Jai Jai Shiv Shankar,
Kantaa lagey na kankar,
Ki pyala tere naam ka piya,
Hooo, gir jaungi, main marr jaungi,
Jo tuney mujhe thaam na liya,
Hoo Sau-rab di”
Remember the song? It’s the first one that comes to my mind when I think of Shivratri. The mela, the crowd, people high on stuff. Did I just make it sound like just any regular party?
Actually no… that’s not what the song means to me. As a kid, it used to be a huge riddle which only the intelligent would understand and yet never be able to solve. And I was the lonely dweller of that land.
Firstly, why do they have to call out Jai twice and Shiv and Shankar only once. Why isn’t it Jai-Veeru Shiv-Shankar? Don’t Shiv and Shankar mind being mentioned only once, when Jai gets sung twice right in the start?
And who is Jo? Is Rajesh Khanna’s name Jo? Jo ne kyon usko nahi thamaa?
And the biggest mystery of all…
Who is this Saurabh? And Surabh di kya? Did the lyricist forget to complete the line?
Shivratri used to be one festival with a really confusing filmy theme song!

Writing obscure, cryptic, intelligent sounding stuff is quite difficult. But then again a thousand monkeys with typewriters would be able to achieve it atleast once in the book that they write, i.e. if they do.
Therefore, with the assumption of me being slightly (if not a lot) intelligent that our ancestors, I try my hand at it every now and then. Just like those canvases with colours splashed on them, all of them titled “untitled” (may be they forgot to specify a filename while saving it!), hanging around a snob art-gallery.
My efforts are like random snips with scissors on a piece of paper, and everyone tries to make sense out of those random shapes. If only those snips could be on a folded piece of paper, which makes an enchanting snowflake when unfolded.
But then again, who cares to fold the paper anyways!
